These are the 2 seed plate selector guides:

 
They are used to measure the seed size in order to determine what seed plate you need for a plate planter.  A rear mounted planter owners manual tells you how to use them and how to interpret what planter plates you will need. Basically the cell number on the selector plate correspondes with a cell size and plate number and number of cells in each plate for the plate needed. This than can also be cross referenced witn the seed being planted and what plates may be used.

I have never heard of planter plate selectors. If you are talking about planter plates, yes there were different sizes for different seeds and several sizes for different grades of corn seed. In the old days a medium flat was a common plate as it was a common size of seed corn. I don't know what numbers would be on a plate.

I have a set of AC planter plate selectors and I was wondering how they were used. Are assume that there are more than 1 set made for different seeds. Do the numbers next to the slots correspond to plate numbers or sizes or what? I was just wanting so info on them. Thanks.
