There should be an Icon of a pic of a tree, at the top of the page(it doesn't appear if you use the quick reply in a post).  Click on that, then browse for the file you want and click upload. Click OK when it tells you to wait, or whatever it says.
It should load and show up on the right side of that page in the lower right corner.
Click preview and see what the width and height of the picture is. If it's over 800 wide, it won't fit the page.
You can change both the width and height but need to keep the proportions the same.
IE if your width is 2400 and you height is 1600, divide both by 3 to get 800 wide and 533 high. Sounds kinda complicated but is pretty easy to do once you figure it out.
Your file manager is limited in capacity. If you load pics this way, you may get to a point, where you have to delete old files to upload new ones. Once you delete them from your file manager, they no longer show up on old posts.
what I like to do, is upload pics to google pics, or some storage site and figure out how to share them here from that site. Then your file manager doesn't get filled up, and your pics will always show up on old posts.
Photobucket seems to be a waste of time here in the last year or so, there are other free picture storage sites that can be used.
