![]() After attending the AC swap meet on March 2nd I went over to NE Kansas and looked at this 1963 D-19 diesel that was for sale....Here it is in the shed with both right side tires flat..It and another D-19 were purchased new by the same farmer in 1963 at Independence,MO...In 1966 both D-19's were traded in for new D-21's...A farmer in NE Kansas purchased one of the D-19's with a little over 600 hours on it.....It was his main tractor until a new 210 AC was purchased in 1973....After owning the D-19 for 52 years he finally decided that it was time to let it go..I was able to make a deal with him so I went and hauled it home on Wednesday.. ![]() Here it is at home yesterday....It shows exactly 6700 hours on the hour meter...It has original paint and will stay that way...It last ran 3-4 years ago..It was getting pressure in the radiator so is close to needing a head gasket...Its had lots of head gaskets over the years which is no surprise as the sleeves have dropped..I don't have any plans to work it hard so hopefully another head gasket will hold it just to drive it around........It still has the tin work under the fuel tank..Low side doesn't work on the PD...Does anyone have a air intake cap for it?

When he bought this tractor in 1966 the owner also worked at the Gleaner factory so I'm guessing lots of farming got done after dark....He also had a bar between the rear fenders with two lights mounted for the rear..
