Looks great Skeeter. Bring it to the tractor cruise in Durham in July. Something different would really stand out

I was trying to have it somewhat ready for Durham this year but was running a little behind. Going to hit a bunch of the fairs and tractor shows this year. |

Yeah there are a few of them out there. I am pretty sure I have looked at everyone that is posted on the web. I have taken some ideas from some of them, improved on some of the ideas and made some stuff on my own. I am in the process of lowering my headlights like that last photo. I thought about going the super single rear tire route before I saw that photo a couple months ago but decided I wanted to keep the tractor tires so I bought brand new tires.
Thanks again for all the positive comments. I think I have answered all your questions and pic requests. Please keep them coming. Thanks |

George,
My tractor has 9.5x24 tractor tires. If you are asking about the one above with the grey wheels I'm not sure what size they are but they are Super Single tractor trailer truck tires. |

Looks really nice. I do have a question about the steering geometry: it looks like the steering arms facing frontwards are narrower in front than at the pivots. Is this the case? Because I would think they would work better facing the back end. (The De Dion principle).
The idea is to have the inner wheel on a turn steer sharper than the outer one. |

Yes you are correct. It steers fine this way. Tight turns are a bit difficult though. I may change it at some point but to get the tie rod under the tractor will be tough. |

Maybe the steering arms could be cut off and angled outward? Maybe there isn't clearance.

That looks fantastic! Thanks for showing the photos of this build, I would love to buy/build one like this down the track, and looking at yours vs the other two shown later in the thread you have really nailed the look, I prefer the more factory correct style.

The pic under the heading,
"Front end before we pie cut it and re-welded it. 13.5* if I remember correct" shows that there is a starter on it. Edited by SteveC(NS) - 11 Sep 2017 at 7:06am |

From my brothers wedding. This tractor ran around the farm for 2 days straight fetching people, beer and just cruising. Never a single issue and anyone and everyone was driving it. Can't say anything more. |
