Here are some pics of the new to me 1936 Wc. I bought it from a man north of York, PA. It had been in his family since 1948. He said they had a dairy farm and used it to plow, cultivate, and pull their square baler. They had the engine overhauled in 1958 by the local Allis dealership in Manchester PA. They milked until 1968, and moved from the farm in the early 70's. Since then the tractor has seen light use. She has new tires, and so far has always started on the 2nd or 3rd pull. The paint job isn't perfect but is good enough for me. The last couple of weekends I've put her to use pulling loads of corn to the crib. Hope you guys enjoy the pics. I'm excited to finally own one. I've been wanting an unstyled wc for a long time.

That is very similar the the first flat top WC my father sold. I do love those flat tops. As I have said many times would like to find the first one my father sold.
You are very close to me. Sometimes perhaps I could visit you to see the unit.
Great Job!!
Take good care of it.
Good luck!

Thanks for all the comments. It's serial number 27800. Bill you are welcome to come by anytime to take a look or even take her for a test drive. The air cleaner is definitely not original. If anyone knows what originally come out with these tractors I'd like to know. I've seen many with just the pipe coming out with no cap, and some with a cap. I don't have a manual yet so I'm not sure what the manual shows. Thanks again.

The air cleaner looks original to me, except it has a pipe slid over the top with an oversize mushroom cap on it.

CTucker, Do you know if they came from the factory with a cap? Every book I look in shows them both ways. The books with the older photos show just a pipe coming up with nothing on top.

Your cap on the air cleaner is huge. I don't think it's origional. All the one's I've seen either have a small cap like mine (picture). Or, as you said, no cap at all. Mine is a 1937 so I think your 1936 should be the same.

I would guess they probably all had a cap in the later years. Early on it could be either way but the cap would be on any of mine. If it every set out it in the rain it would be a bad place to collect water. |
