The book of words and numbers says I 600 has the 200 diesel. Has that tractor had an I 60 engine implanted?

Page 271 of AC Construction Machinery and Industrial Equipment Book states I60 and I600 tractors 160 gas engine and 175 diesel.
However, given age of machine since new, anything is possible for engine if torque tube and engine bell housings mate. I have seen a number of unique AC engine adaptions in Allis Equipment that was not original factory install. |

On page 206 of Swinfords other AC book, he states the I 600 replaced the 60 in April 1966 and was equipt with the 200 ci diesel. Page 212 shows the spec chart for all industrial wheel tractors with the 2200 200ci engine at 57hp in all I 600 tractors, and 615s from number 5001. It shows 615s prior to number 5001 having the 175 diesel.
