Well then, so much for "IN GOD WE TRUST"
I can STILL get through a checkout faster than "most" card users with me paying cash, and there's more and more places stating "no c/c" , the shop owners are tired of the c/c fee's THEY have to incur or pass it on to patrons Now that I think about T, there's probably NOT enough gold to back the greenbacks that the current establishment is pumping out by the trillions

Got nothing to do with the present establishment.... Money has been worth NOTHING for years... Only reason its still around is "people" accept the fact that the govt backs it up... as long as the GOVT says its OK... you believe them... Money is NOT backed by GOLD.

Since 1971, U.S. citizens have been able to utilize Federal Reserve Notes as the only form of money that for the first time had no currency with any gold or silver backing. This is where you get the saying that U.S. dollars are backed by the “full faith and credit” of the U.S. Government.

Paper, plastic, gold, silver,or something in the cloud, there will ALWAYS be trading in the back ally of a potato for a onion. Yes the eye in the sky may see, but the old Soviet Union only kept from starving by all the peasants trading food stuffs out in the back ally. The secret if nobody talked about it, it didn't happen.
An some of the old wise guys will make out better than others.

What a short sighted foolish statement. Try looking a little farther out than the end of your wiener. |

I am not surprised by the lack of confidence in my post. I tried to post this as a wake up call and warm others to have a plan. I have plans to protect what I have. I am not investing, yet, if I think of what might explode in value as a result of a cashless economy then I will move on it. I am wondering for me would be best since im handicapped and in late middle age. 67 and single.
If I were still employable,I would be less concerned I am not gonna hooard ammo but I will save the last round for myself. No point for the government to microchip a dead body. The pace of. change is poised to accelerate and frankly I don't generally like change or surprises, so God bless America |

Gary we need to stir this a bit more there are some that still wait for the MSN media to tell them which end is up even reading here. To think we had gold for every paper dollar floating around.
Gold is dam hard to digest if you have to live on it,as well as heavy to pack around. Maybe the little Twinkies's cakes with preservatives and all. My wife found a new show this year Eating History. Two late 30's guys finding old food and seeing if it was still edible. Some government packed emergency stuff for nuclear war from late 50's did not fair well at all.Packed in small tins inside a bigger tin. Both tins sealed the oil in crackers was bad,BAD,everything in the packages was bad. Other off the shelf stuff from as long ago was a bunch better if kept dry and sealed from bugs and vermin. But the younger ones will sit and let some socialist take care of them. Aunt Nancy P is grooming nephew Gavin Newsome(King of California) to help Kami fix everything for everybody. Then some will learn what was meant by LIVE FREE OR DIE But Gary we should be good with paper money until all drugs are legal and the neighborhood drug peddler on the corner takes plastic. |
