Old and much discussed topic on this forum,, paint. My HD16 is yellow is, and original paint. I know it would be easy to just go with Cat yellow as it is everywhere but I would like to match mine up closer to original. Its a light yellow.
I can get the paint scanned and duplicated by the gallon at my Auto Paint store. But can only get gallons or quarts. I like the ease of painting with rattle cans for engine, and confined spaces and small parts. Other than Cat Yellow,, can some of you tell me of a stock color that you found works. I have heard National School Bus Yellow. I had picked up a color chip from Micro Finish LLC and they use Sherwin Williams paint. the paint chip was spot on to what I was matching up but when they send me the rattle can ( they will fill rattle cans one at a time if needed) the color turned out to be banana yellow. Not painting till spring but want to get ahead. Got the itch. Thank you . |
