I 've seen D-17 Series IV with white center and silver outside on front rims on smaller sizes (6.50x16) and I'm wondering if they are the wide ones (9.5x15) are the rims two tones or they like 170's and all white , and if the rims turned inside out. I've never seen one and would like to know which way they were oringally painted. Any pictures would be nice. Thanks,Mark

Cream center silver rim in rear all cream front
I don't think any one piece wheels were painted more than one color from factory. Edited by Gordy - 05 Feb 2012 at 10:13am |

On our 1967 model D-17 was new it's front rims were painted with silver rims and cream centers that I know, but if they had 18.4x28 rear tires I thought they would have had to put bigger tires on front in which I figured they would use the 9.5x15 like they do on 170's or am I wrong for thinking this way.

9.5s were not factory installed tires for a D17. I think 7.5 x 16 was as big as they went.
