What instills fear of previous service members is knowing the potential enemies have recovered some of the machines we abandoned to evaluate the soft spots and technologic advances to use against us in a return to fighting. That is obvious in ‘sudden advancements’ in old Soviet era mechanisms or Chicom recent improvements. The ascension of Chinese spies to steal tech became less a need as our own manufacturers went there for cheap production labor. Ford, GM, Chrysler, we essentially give them the updates to produce better mil grade equipment even as they steal the higher tech plans or designs for those they have not been handed as the equipment in Middle East and the Stan regions.
