I have an Onan CCKA engine that I removed from a 646 loader tractor. (Bought under the influence of something, not sure what). Is the general consensus to overhaul the Onan engines and put them back into the 616, 620 and 720 tractors or repower? If so, I may look for a 620/720 needing an engine and overhaul it. We owned a 720 years ago and It was light years ahead of the other brands.

Depends on you usage of tractor. If for collector purposes, the original Onan would be best. But it will cost you more to overhaul it then buying a new Honda or other brand engine. And you'll still have issues down the road with the Onan! If you plan on using the tractor, buy a Honda or other brand v-twin and put in it! Or a diesel :) And your have a much nicer running tractor!
