Had a family member stumble through some old pictures today, and I have been thinking of some Allis friends since. Any updates from or on any of these individuals? I had many good conversations and was taught a lot by some of these guys over the years:
Dale Haymaker, Paris, Il What’s the status of the museum/collection? I know Dale sold some literature and other items through Auman back in 2018, but for years he had a nice museum and big collection. Looks like Dale last logged in about 6 months ago. I also noticed the website for the museum is down. GlennInPA One of my old “B” friends, it looks like Glenn has been absent from the forum for some time, but was real active for many years. Bill Long Another one of my “B” buddies, I always enjoyed his perspective from his family dealership when all the little Allis’s were sold new. I hope all these gentleman are doing well. I know age may be catching up to some that were very active forum members 10-15 years ago. If anyone has any updates or status on these folks, I would be very happy to hear it. Unfortunately, I lost most of their contact information through the years and changes in phones and technology. I haven’t been on the forum much myself for years, so I may have missed something along the way. Thanks, “Morton” Edited by morton(pa) - 15 Jan 2024 at 9:20pm |

Good to hear from you Mort . Dale has sold most of his collection. He told me a few years ago that he had 100 tractors. He sold the top 25 and the bottom 25 but still had 50 tractors. He sold most of his memorabilia through Aumann a few years ago. Was collecting old 1939 Chevrolet and GMC cars and trucks. Recently was told he now is collecting antique furniture.
Not sure about Glenn Bill Long posted on here for his birthday I believe. I have been told Bill was taking c a re of his wife for the last several years and had little free time. |

Would you believe this is the day I logged on to the forum. I am still well but my life has changed. In the middle of November I was carrying (dumbly too much) from the basement and lost my footing. Fell down 7 - 10 steps. Hit my head on a carpeted floor which caused a blood sac in my brain, also cracked three ribs. Luckily I survived. Two days later I started talking gibberish and was sent to The Bel Air Hospital. Took a few x-rays and immediately sent to Shock Trama and Johns Hopkins Bay View for recovery. We in Maryland are rightfully proud of these institutions My sons took over immediately and unbelievably found openings for me and Jean in Lorien assisted living in Mt Airy Md - will post the address at the end. Have been living there ever since with house up for sale and car not re-leased. Lorien has been good and will probably spend my life here Not doing bad physically have to walk with a walker and have trouble with memory. If anybody needs an Assisted Living place Lorien is not all that bad. Continue to use the forum and my cell phone. Address is: Lorien Assisted Living 231 Midway Ave Apartment 223 Mt Airy MD 21771 Thanks for your thoughts. May probably spend some more time here Good Luck! Bill Long

Now that's a name I haven't seen in a while. Bill, Glad to see you are still kicking! I always enjoyed your posting. Stay sharp Sir!
I do remember Glenn, haven't seen him post in a while. Haymaker and I had many conversations back in the day when I was tearing my Allis apart. I have not heard from or spoken to Dale in years but I unfortunately lost touch with a lot of guys when I sold my Allis and moved to the city for a few years... If Any of you talk to him tell him Luke in Michigan from Allis Forum says hello! Edited by AC WD45 - 16 Jan 2024 at 7:59pm |

I was looking up B-related posts the other day and wondered what some of these guys have been up to. Bill, sorry to hear about the stair event, but very glad to hear you are still hanging in there and even getting on the forum now.
I haven't seen Glenn on here in years. He helped me hunt down some early B drawbar parts. Glad to also here he is still in touch with Fred some. Chalmersbob is another one I haven't heard from in a while... Just checked his profile, and he had his full name listed. Sadly I found his obituary from 2021. And of course I am glad to see you post again! Sometimes life just takes us other directions for unknown periods of time.
