I remember seeing a post a while back on someone recommending synthetic oil for the bevel gear boxes.  What grade do you use?  What would be good for the transaxle?  I always just used a trans/hydraulic oil.  Thanks!!

80-90 wt in both.
5 different TT-10's,5 TT-18's Terra Tigers,B-10,2 B-207's,B-110,2 B-112's,HB-112,B-210,B-212,HB212,2 Scamp's & Homilite T-10. Still hunting NICE HB-112 & anything Terra Tiger & Trailers for them.

I would think a heavy oil also, but my Broadmoor calls for SAE 10W-30 for the trans axle
Would that be because it is a lawn tractor as opposed to a heavier duty Garden Tractor
Anxious to hear replies...as to the original poster of this subject, you really should check the owners' manual

trans-axle varry from 10/30 to 20/50 depending on Mfg .
gear box would be either 000 grease or 90 # gear oil
