Local Deputy Sheriff was shot Sunday night conducting what was described as a routine traffic stop. When Deputy stepped out of his car and began approach to other car the driver shot striking him just under his protective vest and then fled the scene. A manhunt ensued until this afternoon when Sheriff's office responded to a break in, when the Swat team approached the suspect fired on them, they returned fire killing him. Sheriff office believes this to be the officer shooter. They also arrested a female at the break in. The wounded officer is expected to recover from his wounds.

that's good news that he'll survive, most of the time that doesn't happen sadly. all law enforcement officers, fire & rescue personel, and military needs our thoughts and prayers daily as they are the GREAT PROTECTORS!

I figure this will land me in hot water,,,but I get so dang MAD whenever any of our first responders or law enforcement get shot doing their job in tryin to keep us safe. It is my take that the former president put a crosshairs on the back of every policeman when he was always putting out his BS rhetoric,,,YET the media will not give him credit for having done so,,!!I believe the National Law Enforcement group should publically give him credit, Publically, every time one of these brave people are hurt. OK,,,I'm done.

Glad the officer is going to recover and glad they killed the azzhole. Sadly there is no such thing anymore as a "routine" traffic stop. And some people wonder why law enforcement officers are so quick to shoot these days; they have to be if they want to go home to their families. You act stupid and you get shot I say it's your fault.

They say that killing them idiots is not a deterrent,,,,,,,well, if'n we started doing it again, there'd be LOTS of room in our jails. Might not keep em from doing it, but they'd never do it again!!!
