Buddy of mine is building a ford 7000 tractor to run in our stock series classes. He is putting in a 304 genesis motor but ran into oil pan issues. Wide front end attaches to the pan so tried using original pan from the engine that was in the tractor bolt pattern is the same but does not clear the balancing gear set that the 304 uses. Just curious to see if anyone has or knows someone that's done this swap before. Any info would be a great help. Thanks

Tell me I thought the Genesis was named after the 70 series tractor and that’s only a 456ci 6. Cylinder?

The "Genesis" tractor was generally a 456, yes. The 4-cylinder version of it was 304 cubes and had all the design features of the 6 cylinder used in the Genesis tractor line. The medium duty truck version of that 6 cylinder engine was a 474 cube displacement. Pre-Genesis engines were a 401 and date back to the early 1970's.
