My brother in law has a 44 special he just pulled from the fence row. The engine is seized, tins are straight. Very rusty but no holes, some paint. What is it worth?I am thinking 200-300$ It has a good set of 14.9x38 tires I would like to have. I am thinking of buying it for the tires and parting it out or maybe scrapping it depending on what is more valuable. What do you think?

why not do a investigating on the motor? 44's are a darn good tractor, worked for a neighbor years ago, who had a 33 it was great for pulling loads to the silo filler, hay wagon, cultivator et., it has the driver sit high with good sight value.

I tried to follow the science, but it was not there. I then followed the money, and that’s where I found the science.

This poor tractor sat outside with no cap over the exhaust for 25 plus years, I am sure she needs a complete overhaul.

I like my 44,rebuilt the engine last year,be prepared, those 260 engines have some hi dollar parts,I had around $2000 in mine, crank turned, rods resized, sleeves & pistons head redone, pretty much full meal deal.now it starts instntaly, purrs like a kitten, pulls pretty good too.if the rear tires are good prolly worth the 2-300..parts sales are front-pocket money

Massey Harris tractors are becoming very collectable I hate to see anything scraped.Alot of the john deere people around here are starting to buy other colors to add to there collections ,one told me that he spent a fortune on his jd m and people at the shows tend to walk right by his very impressive deere to look at the allis ,farmalls and massey s.The 44 was a real nice running tractor and were real nice to plow with I would keep it and fix it.Just my opinion
