Don, this cab is from a MM UDLX. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I think the last complete one sold for over 500K. So, this is not just any old tractor cab. They were a tractor/car made by MM and very, very few are around today.

It looks like a cab off of an R Moline. An R with a cab is almost as rare as a UDLX. It does look a little rough to me.

I am not surprised; the guy who had UDLX #0001 brought it to our show down here a couple years ago and displayed it for only a half hour, those cab MM's are some rare birds

just saw an auction on aumann's show on rfd-tv with one of these cabs on a tractor. I think the tractor brought $25,000.
I'm jealous. I have put lots of money into some cars for people, and then they end up selling the cars for a lot less than $25,000 or even what they have into it. If I could get $25,000 on every tractor restoration, I might be able to afford to keep farming. |

R tractors with cabs aren't rare like a UDLX. There were only 150 of the UDLX built.

I stil say they forgot the tractor. ;-) I could buy a fleet of orange for that. The joys of a free market economy.

Neat, I grew up driving a MM Z. Nice tractor. After the motor blew out the side of the block we attached the tedder power shaft to the pto and another tractor so we could still use the Z to buzz wood.

Somewhere in Texas. If I owned this MM I would have enough to get a nice IB. I need to see what I can buy it for.

I hate to have to correct Mort but its payback time for his correcting me. It is not a UDLX cab. It is what it says it is.

It's definitely an R cab. I have a UDLX cab in my shop right now that I am restoring/rebuilding for a customer. It's in far worse shape than that R cab. UDLX cab was entirely wood framed like a car from the 20's. Going to be a large bill when finished, but the tractor is worth a lot. Last one sold at Gary Parker's auction brought $105,000 for an unrestored but complete unit.

If Ken in Texas buys that MM in the picture he posted he may make so much off it he won't have to deal with the rest of us. Just hire people to work on his AC's!
Just kidding, Ken.
