Guy was in the shop yesterday asking about pistons for a 600 Ford with a diesel engine. He said most people had never heard of such a thing. Anyone have any info or parts for it?JP

The 600/800 series and early 1960s 2000/4000 with 4 cyl. engines had a diesel version. I had a 2000 with a diesel. Parts should be available through New Holland or Tisco. The Ford 4-cyl engine was a very good gas engine that was redesigned for diesel and was a poor diesel engine. This is the opposite of the later 3-cyl engines which were designed as diesels and modified to also serve as gasoline. The 3 cyl was a very good diesel and a poor gasoline eingine.
