A friend of mine just called me, and has found a real odd ball tractor. It is supposed to be sold by Allis Chalmers, it is called a "CAST" . It is a 2 cylinder diesel, 32H.P. 5&2 transmission, 4 wheel steer, 7.50x16 tires and made in Belonia Italy. He says it somewhat resembles a Ditch witch looking tractor. He says it also has 3 point hitch. He thinks it was made in early 70"s. Has anyone ever heard of such a thing? If he makes contact with the seller again, maybe he can get some pictures. Please let me know anything you can if you have ever seen something like this.  Dave.

If it's a 2 cylinder, it must be a John Deere!

David. Over the years at farm shows I have seen a number of different brands of small
articulated Italian tractors like your friend has described. I've even seen a Lamborghini tractor like this. They are designed to be used in the vinyards. I have never seen or heard of a CAST and would be very surprised if Allis-Chalmers had any connection.

There are alot I never heard of.
How about the Red-E {Not a red color, means Ready} 2 wheel garden tractor.
Here is a list of former tractor manufacturers.

somebody had one of those for sale a while back that was painted like and allis. But it was not an allis they had just painted it that way. I am not sure if it is the same tractor. The FD3 allis chalmers I have is a 2 cylinder but they were made in france. The connection allis had to italy would have been fiat allis.
