Most of us hate to see these old tractors scrapped, but, judging from their appearance, anyone that is going to try to restore these better have deep pockets and a lot of ambition.
A guy here in our area has a very nicely restored unstyled WC that has been for sale for a couple years (with cultivators) for $2500. I suspect that's about half of what he has invested.

Shame, there's probably some good parts there for someone but with how common and low-dollar these things are over there it's likely they will end up as Chinese white goods in the near future.
Nice that someone at least tried to give them a second chance, maybe they'll be rescued, who knows.

$200. for a junk WC ? He could probably take them to the scrap yard and get that..
i guess if you needed a transmission or final drive parts it might be OK... but rebuild is not a reality/

There are a pair of Bs near me. One was the runner and the second some parts missing. $500-$600 for the pair.
I did that with a pair of Ferguson 35s, parts tractor of the two I got running and it's my snow plow. No space to pick up another tractor set (already WD and another 35).

Those look about like the one traded for a case of beer last fall. Hated to scrap them so offered it up for a case of beer, still took a week on Facebook to get a taker.

I’ve already have 4 WCs, only 2 run…
Never do anything with them because they don’t have hydraulics (like the 45s had awesome hydraulics, hah) but I would have a use for a b engine…
I have a 60a combine that has a shot engine.
Sleeves are broken up from freezing up with water…

ekjdm14 I agree with you. Nice that someone tried to give them a second chance. Hope that it happens. Once they go to China they are gone forever. My ears hurt with the WC bashing.

I don't think anyone is "bashing" the WC. What I, and several others, were pointing out is that restoring these tractors is going to be very expensive and, when they are finished, the tractor would have a value of $1000 - $1500.
I have been working on my grandfather's WF for many years. It set out for many (probably 30+) years, similar to what I expect these WC's have. I am not quite done the WF yet and I have somewhere between $7000 and $8000 invested (along with hundreds of hours of free labor) and the tractor would have probably sell for around $1500 when I am done.
It's a tractor that my grandfather bought new and it will go to my grandson, when I am gone, but not exactly a great investment.

Maybe someone should start a WC ,B , and C Non Running ,needs restored Collection. That would be a start on saving them from China and wouldn't need buildings to store them in.

It's a shame but I don't think anyone would ever get anywhere close to getting their money back after restoring a WC. Heck, it's hard enough with a WD or even a WD-45 and those have hydraulics and a much bigger market of buyers.
I think there was an auction or two in Missouri recently where pretty nice looking unstyled WCs (repainted at some point in recent history) sold for $1500 or less. I've been keeping my eye out for a somewhat straight unstyled as a project, but for that kind of money, it's hard to pass up a pretty much ready to go tractor.

I think it's more a "labour of love" thing with most of these machines, like the example WF Owner gave of his grandfather's WC. If there's no sentimental value or interesting provenance to the machine then they're less likely to be saved. BUT you do get the occasional nut job like myself who wants to not necessarily "restore" a machine, but at least see it run & work again just for the challenge of it.
I'd have given £200 for one of these as a project if they were over here, and a pair for a crate of beer I'd have snapped your hand off!
