I always wanted to put VW diesel engines into a G, B, or C/CA. though it would be cool, but will never find the time. What is the engine in the picture?

I have no clue.....
 
George is a really cool guy, he showed me around his place.
He has a ton of stuff laying around.
 
A few houses down, there is a couple with a full size railroad
car converted into a house !
 
The tiny town is less than 100 miles from St, Louis, MO;

Well, that is an interesting machine. When Merle Haggard was a little kid, he lived in a railcar converted into house. Suspect his was not as nice as the one you saw. All kinds of interesting things around to see, if ya take the time to look.
