my bride and I took a little trip this weekend down to Kentucky to see the replica of Noah's Ark. pretty interesting, although, I do have some mixed emotions about it.
I am still confident of this;
I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
Wait for the Lord;
be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord. Ps 27

Hey Lou, with the way it's been raining around here lately, you should have brought it home with you.  We'll probably need it around here soon.

I went last year and just like you I left scratching my head,but if you step back and look at the size and think of the tools they had to work with and understand this is partly someone's opinion it is well worth the trip.going in it was hard to look at screws and pine and cedar not gopher wood but before I left I had a better understanding. Be open minded when you visit and it is great. I'll go back in a couple years. Scott

It was impressive, and ya, a lot of info to read. But what has me befuddled is why Christians will accept that the Lord Almighty created the heavens and the earth from nothing, but then find it necessary to take tremendous effort to explain how He preformed the miracles. The folks behind the Ark replica, by their own admission, took great 'liberties' with a lot of the details of the Ark itself, and the account in general. The Bible offers little other than the basic size. Apparently that is all God thought was necessary for us to know, but there was/is a much bigger and more important narrative that He did wish us to know. That narrative is man, and the earth had turned completely evil, except for one man, and the flood was an example of just how far God will go to destroy evil. By focusing on the ark and the surrounding issues, they take away from the main point. The main point is not what God can do, (He has already proven himself on that point) or how He did it, but what He will do to evil.

I've seen well meaning Christians do the same thing with other miracles, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego and the fiery furnace, Danial and the Lions den, etc Trying to offer all sorts of theories on just how it would be possible, based on the science and physics as we know it. But, it was possible because the God who created the world, and the universe, and me.....said so.

It was, however, impressive just to experience the size of it.

They should have built that thing in Eastern North Carolina.   Everyone could have gotten on it before Hurricane Florence hit.

I agree Lou, Gods plan is so simple. We are the guilty ones (humans/christians)that confuse and complicate Gods will.
