I have an HD-3 dozer that my father gave me. The undercarriage of this machine is pretty much shot. I also bought a 715D backhoe about 5 weeks ago. Both of these machines run well but do need some repair. I will read topics in these forums to see if I can find answers to my questions. If the answers are not to be found, I'll be back with the questions. Thanks in advance.

Is the HD 3 the style that resembles a D 15 tractor, or is it the way old one (very rare) with the Detroit 2 stroke diesel? Darrel

Is your 715 a B model with the D following the B-D  that is how mine is marked .

Was talking to dealer years back and he said the later units used a Cummings instead of Perkins as engine and many individuals thought the upgrade was going backwards .
