New To Me Plow

That truly is an unusual anniversary gift!

Now that's funny.

Hook on to it and it won't take long to figure it out. Right now it appears to be in transport position, both bottoms are set as high as they will go. If you are laying off a land, (first pass, no furrow), raise both levers as high as they will go, once you have a furrow to run in, lower the furrow bottom lever about halfway. Here is a grainy trail cam picture of me and the WC several years ago finishing plowing up some sod for a food plot. Note the position of the levers. I still have the tractor, plow and hat.

309211 is the part number for a 14" R.H moldboard for a 325 bottom. It doesn't help identify the plow at all because nearly all if not all AC bottoms mount with the same two 9/16" bolts from the frame to the shank and so bottoms are interchangeable but parts are not often interchangeable between bottoms except for landsides and coulters. Details in the Knowledge Forum under AC Plows Parts 101.

Thanks Gerald. I haven't had a chance to look at that section yet but plan to in the next few days.

If the plow has been used very much at all the teeth for the depth levers should show at least a little wear. There's a good place to start setting the plow depth at.

Ted,  I think you are right.  It is a #4 with no trailing wheel.  Should have a long landslide on the rear bottom.  

Thanks guys for all the information, I am planning on getting it in the garage in the next few weeks to tear it down and clean it up for paint.   Are parts for these hard to find? I noticed the trip hub is cracked about half way around. I can repair it but if I could find another I would probably go that route.

We should have some NOS parts to if Dave doesn't have what your looking for.

I have 4 1/2 of these #4 plows.  The 1/2 is NOS and never assembled.  I have one that is really used up for a parts donor when I get around to putting the thing together.
