Hi. This is Mike from Upper Michigan. I am rapidly converting to be an avid Allis fan after recently aquiring (2) Allis CA’s. My foray into the Allis world happened after buying an Allis loader and a parts CA that it was mounted on. So basically, I buy a $100 loader and find a tractor to fit! I found and purchased another running CA (sn#2400) that had B front end on it. The parts tractor (sn#18725) had the correct wide front and associated steering gear. It was an easy swap. I purchased reprints of both the service manual and the operating instructions/repair parts manuals for the CA. I was quite surprised at the power this little tractor had when pulling a 2/14 plow and a 6’ tandem disc! Sure wish I could post pics!

Mike, i dont know at what point you get that you cant post photos... Under the LAST POST on this page you can do a "QUICK POST" ... or you can click on the "POST REPLY BOX" above that.... You will then get a page that allows you to post photos.. Click on the GREEN TREE and go from there..... more questions if you have problems.
Photos about 800 x 600 pixels work best and 100 kb of data... If your on a cell phone, the photos can be 5000 x 3000 and 5 MB large.. that dont work.. e-mail to yourself and RESIZE... or go on computer and do it in PAINT..

Like them all, but love the "B"s.

Mike, Welcome to the land of AC! More knowledge on this forum than at the Library. Some fellers on here bleed Orange not Red. The only dumb question is one that isn't asked. Some of the fellers on here sell new & used parts (like myself) so you can acquire needed parts as well. Super people on here ready to help ya out in any way they can. A good start indeed with a couple CA's! Good luck with them. Sorry, can't help you on the loader, but maybe one of the family here can ID it for ya..... ![]() Steve@B&B bb-customcircuits.com |

Welcome Mike, you got the picture thing down pat quickly. Good instructions Steve!
CA’s are great little tractors with a lot of power for its size. Just in case you are unaware the lever on the right is a hand clutch, pull it back and it will stop movement of the tractor but the pto will continue to turn allowing continuous operation of equipment like mowers, small combines, balers Slowly release it to get moving again. somebody did a nice job on that CA... When they put the B front end on it, they used the B steering box instead of cobbling up something... And you got the hitch AND a 3 point.. Nice tractor !

Mike welcome to the forum. I have a CA narrow front and can't believe what it can do.
I had a loader on a WD that looked just like the one you have and was told it was a Freeman. Not for sure so maybe someone can confirm.

I just finished plumbing the hydraulics with all new high pressure hoses. For now I just flipped the remote port around to face forward. Though it moves slow, its leaps and bounds over moving material with a shovel and wheelbarrow! Eventually, Ill make up a nice front mounted live pump.

if your loading a truck you need faster cycle time... If your lifting a load and holding it.. or carry a distance... the Slow lift speed is not a problem .. ?? Very nice unit.

That loader appears to be an A-C 100A or 100B loader built to fit the CA, D-10 and D-12 tractors.

Welcome Mike.
My Father grew up around Allis tractors(CA & WD). Dad always claimed a CA was a perfect match for a Roto-Baler. Lots a great knowledge on this site, explore the other forums here. There is a ‘politics’ forum, contact the site admin., or one of the moderator’s they will let you know how to gain access. |

I tried to follow the science, but it was not there. I then followed the money, and that’s where I found the science.

Welcome Mike! The CA is one tough little tractor! Extremely easy to work on and a lot of fun to drive and work with. You've gotten a good start on the Orange Flu Bug.... It only gets worse. If you can't find an answer on the net, or on here doing a search, just ASK. And as was said, there are no dumb questions. But sometimes the answers get kind of out in left field sometimes. It's ALL in fun (except the political forum - it's DEADLY in there!!)
