Sounds an awful lot like the old Cats, love that sound, we have a D8 2u s/n, can't beat that sound, low rpms, and torque to move the earth!!! :-)

The owner of this unit is Lakeside Sand & Gravel of Mantua, OH. This particular video was taken at the show held in August of 2010 in Burton, OH. I was to this show 4-5 years ago and the same guy had a smaller, newer version that was all yellow and had a AC engine. This guy has quite a bit of antique construction equipment, alot of it Allis. Someone on here may know his name, I cannot recall it right now.

Probably not a lot of fun to back up with people backing trailers in all around you.

I looked to try and find one of these awhile back but couldn't find any. I did find another video at the time. Pretty cool machines. If memory serves that power unit could pull a pan scraper too.

When the Kansas Turnpike was built in the 50's there was a rock quarry near my home that used these or one very similar to haul large rocks to dump in the crusher. The crusher ran 24/7. JB
