Hey Ranse you could put a 8030 like that to your hay roller but you’d have to make some sort of shielding on the front drive shaft to keep hay from wrapping
A tractor like that would look good over at crisp springs seen you got your hay up before going to the show |

The gentleman had 3 tractors there. The D21 sold before the show. The 8030 and the 7010 beside it were both for sale even though they were not labelled as such. Super nice guy to talk to. Never did ask how much he wanted for the 7010. Said the cab was trashed when he got it, so he just stripped it out. The rest of the tractor looked to be in very good shape. He owned the 8030 for 25 years and only put 1500 hours on it.

I remember seeing that tractor. Even took photos of it. I didn’t know it was for sale. I don’t have a need for a tractor that big on my place but it would be nice to have.

A couple hundred acres are good for all our tractors. Rarely do we have all of them out at one time! Good to see you and Ross there for the 3 minutes we chatted before more Canadians arrived to join our conversation! This tractor should pretty much complete our collection.

After you get it all lined out you'll be throwing rocks at your other tractors.

Myron it was nice seeing you and your brother again. I knew the 7010 was for sale, but not the 8030. Not that I would have bought it. I'm glad you got it, it was a nice tractor.

Had a great weekend at the Madrid GOTO this past weekend. Congrats to all the organizers and everyone else involved for putting on a very good show. After 3 years, it was good to get out and see AC family members of the past, and meet some new ones as well. We never go to a show expecting to buy a tractor, but there is a first time for everything. It happened this weekend. The owner was looking to sell, and we were interested in buying - a deal was reached a few hours after we got home. We picked up this 1984 8030 4wd powershift with 4100 hours. Needs a cab kit, but looks like a good unmolested example. We had been casually looking for an 8000 for a while. This one seemed to be a good tractor for a good price. There is nothing else on our wish list, so there should not be any more tractors to buy. No guarantees though! Edited by DSeries4 - 12 Jun 2023 at 3:36pm |
