ever have a song stuck in yer head and can't shake it? PfffffT....i've had the song "you were on my mind" for about a week so far! please...somebody put a quarter in my pocket and change the song!

I have a guy at work who HATES the "music" of Boy George and Culture Club. I can literally send him a text or email with a line of lyrics and the song gets stuck in his head. He tries to get even, but it never works on me. And usually when I do get a song stuck in my head I can blast it out with something louder and heavier! Try a little Motorhead and see if that helps get your head cleared.

That's a great song by the "We Five". I remember when it came out, I would have the radio on during the night...they would play it but I could never hear the title. Finally did. There are worse songs to have stuck in your head.

When I was a little feller my mom would hear the song, I’ve got a brand new pair of roller skates, you gotta brand new key, and turn the radio up full tilt. Now I got that one to get rid of.

Things don't come as pure as Melanie's voice did these days. New, at the time, old lady hated her rollerskate song and I loved it. The hatred hadn't had enough time to build yet so we persevered. Kidding a little on that.

Blood, Sweat and Tears. Not hippies... far from hippies. BS&T was big-band rock... or 'jazz rock'... they were drum and bugle/marching-band guys in the same realm as Tower of Power. They carried a heavy jazz influence from their east coast (NYC), rather than the funk flavor or TOP's Oakland, California. If not for those groups, we would never gotten the likes of Chicago, J Giles Band or Genesis.

My Mother absolutely hated that song, whenever it came on the radio, no matter what Mom was doing she would stop, go to the radio and turn it off.

Here's one of those songs you'll NEVER hear on a radio... first time I heard it, I was in the fourth row, to Lindsay's right side, I watched him play it and immediately recognized that he'd used an alternative tuning to make it work...
and the performance was perfect.
I didn't hear it again in this format until they came out with the live album "The Dance"...
But of all Fleetwood Macs that were really great tunes, this 'little-known', is in MY top four... and it's an earworm that I don't find painful.... matter of fact, when I'm down in a hole, wearing earplugs, ear-covering cans, safety glasses, and a respirator, drilling 3/4" concrete anchors under a scale, I can play this song in my head, and all the drilling racket and shower of dust just vanish while I'm working.

I can listen to that all day long as well most anything they did. Lindsay carries a full to the brim cup of talent .
