Get some DMSO gel with Aloe Vera.

That should help.

Doug, if I remember right you run a crane for a living if the is right I done the same for a number of years and my feet and legs would swell up and my hips would also bother me have looking into I came up with if being lack of blood flow and would wear compression sock at night when I was sleeping to help with the blood flow I still have to wear them sometimes and haven't run any equipment full time for the last 20 years I'm not saying that is what is going on with you but if you sit day in and day out its does raise hell with the lower parts of the body over time. Take breaks, get out walk around. I know the argument that your job won't let you ,do it for your own health! There are supplements that can help along with excersise. My cousin before he retired from sales would drive from Elkhart Indiana to New York straight thru only necessary stops and his knees used to swell then he got a blood clot which worked it's way to a lung! Dr.told him 15 minute break every hour with stretching and walking. He learned Tai Chi stretching excersise and is now in his early 70's and healthy!

Mine does that every now and again. Hurts right now some. Swells up some. Lasts a week to 10 days. Wife has some Diclofenac topical stuff to rub on it. Helps some.
Mainly just ride it out.

I had bone surgery 6-7 years ago right above that knee. Drs. at the time said I had arthritis in that knee. Said I would have to get it replaced eventually. They put a titanium plate in there about 8" long and is held in with half dozen screws. Weird to look at on an
x-ray.

If I were you, I wouldn't waste time asking questions on forums and immediately consult a doctor. As for me, any such change in your body should be directly indicated to your attending physician since it is not always as harmless as it seems. There is nothing more dangerous than an external change in the state of your body because something serious may be hiding behind it. If you don't think it's so serious, I could advise you to introduce more magnesium into your diet, as it is a perfect vitamin for your knees and your skin condition in general. I order all supplements on https://rats.army/. I hope you will be all right, good luck

I am with Chan.  Hopefully through the years you have gotten hooked up with  trusted and worthwhile "saw bones"

Or give it a day or two first as long as it doesn't get worse.

Anyhow i don't think this is a job for the keyboard here.  Good luck.

As much as you probably don’t want to hear it, time to see the doc. I battled knee pain for about 9 months and finally gave in and found out it was a torn meniscus. Been off work for 6 weeks, finally get to go back today.

Happened to me last January. MRI showed torn miniscus, arthritus, and something else. Had to stay off it for over a month. Doc gave me a shot directly into knee cap area. Have been fine since.

BOTH my brothers are dealing with this, older one had a DVT to EXTREMES, clot MRI'd at over 7" in length, he is STILL recovering, at seven months later.  Younger brother started having leg swelling and pain issues, going to see a Orthopedist this next week, was forewarned are classic symptoms of a Deep Vein Thrombosis, DVT.  BOTH Had Moderna Covid shots(the two) with Moderna Boosters.  I had Pfizer two shots and DONE.

I have a bum knee and get swelling quite often.
I’m starting to have a bit of trouble with the good one swelling on occasion.
Sounds silly but my wife got me some of those copper fit knee braces and compression socks. They both seem to help.
Wife wants me to get the bad one fixed.
I’m waiting as long as possible.
And working on being debt free first.

Thad, i think MOST doctors try to put  knee replacements off till you retire..  They think that after 65 years old, your "activity" and "bending" will be drastically reduced .... If they do the knee when your 55 and the "SOCKET" has a 25 year life and you use it too much... you may need another "rebuild" before your 70. !!

Hoping to make it that long.
They have mentioned scraping out the arthritis in my knees and back hoping it may ease the pain a little and help prolong surgery.
