The tractor ser. #is 2833. think that makes it a 1966 series 2. However it has a non- turbo engine ser. #3D-01561. Guessing not the origanal engine? Thought series one stopped at ser. #2129 ? My other concern is the engine oil. Books I got look like it should take 10- 12 qts. 7 qts. bring oil to full mark on dipstick, which sure doesn't seem like much considering the size of the engine and the 2 big oil filters? Thanks for any info.

My 220 takes 5 1/2 gal. It has an oil cooler which can't hold more than a quart? Something don't sound right. Correct dipstick? Also found a bent dipstick tube in crankcase of 8070 that turned near straight down which really skewed the level making it hold less than 3 gallons in the pan of 21qt system.

Engine s/n does NOT jive with the chassis s/n. Must be higher than chassis s/n. They held more oil than 7 quarts. My owners manual says 12 quarts.
