Just got a Montgomery ward 11hp lawn tractor with bagging system. It was a barn find locally. No battery but not seized either. Bought a manual on ebay for $5. Somebody told me it was made by Simplicity or Allis Chalmers. Any info would be appreciated. Can't wait to bring the ugly little thing home..lol.

Simplicity made three Squire models, a 7 1/4hp (orange/red colored in '62-'63), 9hp (bronze color in '64) and 10hp (bronze color in '65-66).

Do you have a photo? Gilson made them for a number of years after Simplicity, in various color achemes. If yours is a Simplicity built unit it is much more scarce than a Gilson.
