I picked up three model E engines.
Would anyone know the years of the engines. I know one should be a 25-40. Engine numbers are 45641, 33408, 41437. Any info or literature would be great. |

I can help a little.
My 20-35 early 1927 #8861 has an engine number of 33554 There is another 20-35 early 1927 #8375 in Makoti, ND with the engine serial number of 33050 So your engine number of 33408 is definitely a 1927. An earlier one at that. It should be a brass tag correct? I'm guessing your 41437 would be a 1928. My later 20-35 1929 #22807 with an engine serial number of 43753 So I assume your engine 45641 would be a 25-40. Should be a lot of differences on this block vs the 20-35 blocks. What are the CASTING numbers on your blocks? That can help date them as well. The last two numbers change with the changes in the block castings. Not an exact science, but can put you in the ballpark. One of these days I want to compile a bunch of block casting numbers vs engine serial numbers vs tractor serial numbers and years to make a better chart to help ID things like this.
