I'm using Super TRAC 303 Tractor Hydraulic Fluid in my B's transmission. Works fine. Tractor Supply has it in 2 gallon jugs for about $12.

Without hydraulics, you could use 80w90 or 80w140 or something in that range. However, I don’t see how 20w would hurt as everyone with hydraulics is running that or Hy-trans.

20 wt is fine... many use the hytrans / 303 since it is a STANDARD, readily available, cheap, and common to many tractor hydraulics and transmissions.

Like them all, but love the "B"s.

303 was my choice just because that is what I run in the old Fords and MF and have it on hand. It is not cheap but I have been adding Archoil AR9100 and things are a bit smooth it seems but it is the wear reduction that interests me mainly and we buy it by the gallon for all of our engines so we have it on hand.
