Well it appears that agco has finally sold out of there stock of allis-Chalmers 269842 or Agco 70269842 powershift filters and it’s NLA, I still have one saved back, now the element for the updated black bellys powershifts is still available through agco, my question is would it be wise to convert my 76 7060 powershift over to the newer filter/housing and everything that takes or would it be just as well to run a 51420 wix/Napa gold in it which is still available?

I don't know about that particular one but do know that Wix is a quality filter. As Steve said use it.

Only the first year - 76 - used the small filter - 77 maroon 7040 7060 used the larger filter.  It was changed for a reason....

I assumed for whatever reason that change happened when they updated to the black belly’s, thanks for that information, it’s no wonder it’s now NLA and took them that long to go through the AC inventory.
