Has anyone here made or seen a good one? My rear mount is just too crude to do a good job of grading my gravel driveway. (front of tractor goes up -- blade digs in gravel, etc). I thought about trying to make one from the front part of a cultivator (but don't have a cultivator, ha) Pictures or links would be helpful.......tx

Why is there never time to do it right the first time, but always time to go back and fix it?

Mr. Double "O", think about bolting a pair of wheels behind your rear mount blade.

I have one that I built for my C you could build a similar on for a WD.
If you look on your final drived there are bolt holse fwd and aft of the Axle nut Cap. that is where the drop brackets for the #3 mower attach. just run push braces fwd from there. make sure you put a swivle in one side. I welded at fixed angle and used pulleys and cabled to lift. I only used a section of grader blade cutting edge for the blade. I'll try to get photos when the weather lets up. we had 2 " of snow today.

I have wanted to do the same thing on my wd45. That would be great for blading the driveway. I know that I'll never get it built because I retired last year and now I will not have time.LOL

One of these days I'm going to make one for my G. I know how I'm going to do it, just haven't done it yet.

Here are pictures of the One on My C
and the drop brackets on WD45
The blade works very well for grading the road. I've also used to shape fill in pole buildings.

Dave Richards: I made a setup w/wheels, but it's difficult to get adjusted and difficult to make changes. Had a belly blade on a F**m**l cub once......it worked great........but got rid of the cub.
Dakota Dave: Tks for photos. Looks simple enough (much simpler than trying to hang one from cultivator arms). I'll have to figure out a way to raise/lower it.
Fred: Tks for photo. May incorporate some of that design into whatever I end up building. If I had that rig, would have to park truck outside and put grader inside. ha ha

ACD21man: It's just a brush guard to keep me from getting knocked off tractor while brush hogging. Made from 1-1/4" and 3/4" sch 40 pipe.

Several years ago I added about 5ft. to the frame of a WD, then made a 10ft. grader blade that hyd. angles to a 45* angle both ways. The hyd pump on the WD is low volume and works great. It also has a wide front.

I'll try this for posting a photo of my belly mount blade I made for my G. Hope it works! This process is not intuitive to me.
