All,
Interested in what most people usually do as far as a maintenance schedule regarding engine oil for gas engines as well as tractor grease points? The research that I have done indicates that a good 10w30 oil (Rotella seemed to be liked the best) fit the bill...concur? What about grease...any particular type or brand that is recommended? After how many hours, on average, do most people change the engine oil on a gas engine? What is the protocol for grease points?...once a month...once a year...every 500 hours? Tractors in question are a WD45 and a D17 IV Thanks |

I use 30 wt non-detergent oil in my WD45. Ichange oil and grease it once a yr. with regular grease since I don't run it that much. Now if it is your main tractor on the farm they say to change oil at 200 hr. trans. and diff. 2 times a yr. and grease it daily.
