Looking for traction booster experts

   My new to me 170 that had a hard neglected life raises the 3 pt. up even with the lift control in the lower position. Every thing was rusty and froze up and after 2 cans of Kroil I managed to get the arms to lower when I stood on them and held the lever in the down position with the engine off. As soon as it starts they raise slowly no matter which lever is moved to any position and when they reach the top I can hear the pump and the engine laboring. Any EASY way to disconnect the traction booster controls or is some kind of plunger stuck in the valve housing? This part is a real challenge to see let alone work on it!!!

	Kurt: I had a similar problem with my D-17 a few years back.. The linkage at the bottom of the "lift" lever for the arms was "welded" with rust etc. Its a bear to get at or even to see it, but my live in brides hand pocket mirror and a flashlight was needed to even see the pivot point up under the cowling and seat.. Can't say for sure that if its the same on your machine.. The pivot point shaft is like a push rod to the piston in the hydraulic body. Hope that helps.
