looking for a good carb to rebuild. the one on my motor does not have a return port so if I can find the correct carb cheap I will buy and rebuild otherwise I can just plug the extra port on my fuel tank.
Thanks! David |

Dave,
There's a guy on e-bay bustin' up a 4040 power max. He might have a carb if ya e-mail him. Didn't see it listed, but ya never know. Maybe he didn't get to partin' the engine yet... Worth a try.. Steve |

The carbs don't have a seperate return port but have a T fitting on the fuel inlet for the supply and return lines. Haven't looked at one for a while but believe the return line side of the T fitting has a smaller hole inside as a restrictor to ensure the carb gets fuel first.

any idea what the thread size is on the carb? I'm going to run an electric fuel pump so I wouldn't think starvation would be an issue but I can always choke it off

You will need to return the excess fuel back to the tank. A tee fitting and a fuel shutoff valve will work well. HTH Tracy Martin

I believe the inlet is 1/8 or 1/4 NPT. I'll havta' take a look at my carb and let ya know fir' sure. There's quite a few electric pumps out there that are adjustable down to like 2 psi that should work for your application. How'd ya make out with the e-bay guy? Did you e-mail him to see if he had a carb? just curious.
