Hello Gentlemen. I know this is a long shot but I won't know if I don't ask. My grandfather Richard Wellman bought a new 185 from a dealership located in Portland Indiana sometime in the 1970s. In 2007 he retired from farming and auctioned off his equipment. The auction was held just Northwest of Fort Recovery, Ohio. I was able to purchase the homestead but could not afford any of the equipment at that time. In going threw some paperwork at the house I found the auction results that stated names of all in attendance, who bought what, and what was paid for each item. I do know that DaPore Brothers LLC of Versailles Ohio purchased the 185 tractor at the auction. My hope is that tractor has stayed local to the area. I know noticed they're quite a few Ohio people that comment on this forum so I'm hoping you might have some leads if know of someone that purchased a 185 from them. My next bet is too all DaPore Brothers and see if they have any info. Thank you all and God Bless.

not to be smart, but did you contact DaPore Brothers and see if they have any record of the person that they sold it to?

DaPore Bros still deal in farm equipment.
I am from not far from Ft. Recovery. I went to Portland Farm Equipment's closeup sale. Clyde Beeler ran it.
