 Topic: Leaking Sediment bowl-help??

Suggestions for stopping a leaking sediment bowl on my old Frazer tiller? I put in a brand new cork gasket. Bowl is on straight, still drips quite a bit.

check the bail. some times the threads feal tight but the bowl is still loose. Dose it stop leaking when you turn the fuel off. Hove seen a lot of them crack just before they go into the tank. and then run down the bowl

One of mine had a warped top as Norm noted......leaked a LOT and there was no fixing it. Replaced that top and all was fine.

There is a way to fix it other than buying a new one. I had one that was bent from over tightening and it leak bad. I took it off the tractor and chucked it up in my lathe and faced off the bottom of the casting where the bowl seals. It worked great. If your time is worth anything it's still probably cheaper to buy new. Charlie

ive got a d 17 with the same problem I just put a regular 5 cent nickel under the bowl tightend it up and problem was solved good luck

As you tighten the bale give the bowl a twist, it helps seat the bowl.
