Never heard anything good about them. Never had one either, but I would run away from it.

Kioti builds a fine tractor. My brother has been selling them for many years along side the AGCO/ now Massy tractors. I like to walk through the shop from time to time to see what is being worked on and they bring more other brand tractors in then Kioti's.
No problem with parts or warrenty.

My wife and I run a pretty good sized produce operation and we like cub cadet beleive it or not. Cub Cadet is now the US importer for Yanmar, and Yanmar is a good industrial tractor, I think they are the leading small commercial tractor manufacturer in the world. Last Year we bought an EX-450, which is a 45 hp tractor with a manual transmission and selective 4x4. It is a great tractor and we are tough on it. We bottom plow gumbo, cultivate, disk, grade, roto-till and snow blow with it and it has been great. It starts no problem in negative 30 degree weather without hesitation and the hydraulics are very responsive. I looked at the korean tractors and the quality just didn't seem as good and I worry about parts support 10 years from now. Remember Yanmar is the leading tractor brand so parts will be readily available. John Deere has Yamar make parts such as engines and transmissions and I've heard entire tractors for them so there is another parts source. around June cub cadet usually runs some pretty good sales and they are pretty competitive with kioti and other tractors, you should be able to pick up a 32hp for right around the same price. Go drive a couple to compare.

I think Yanmar is now setting up their own dealers in the US.

Yup they are, and the dealers between yanmar and cub cadet will be completely interchangable as a matter of fact if you use their search engine to look for yanmar dealers they will list mostly cub cadet dealers, because they are completely interchangable even the down to the color sceme and model numbers, which is a good thing for the future. I often wondered why they didn't just use the Yanmar name as they are known for their durability and longevity. I also beleive that Yanmar opened up a manufacturing plant in GA a couple years ago so at least some of the products are american made.

The company that built Kioti, can't remember the name off hand, bought Bobcat a couple years ago. Someone from ND should be able to come up with details. I believe they are still building Bobcats in ND. I had heard the original Kioti tractor company was set up by some former Kubota management people. They contracted with the Korean company to build what was pretty much a Kubota knockoff but cheaper because of labor costs, etc. There may also be a connection to the Branson brand. I only know of a few around here but they seem ok, certainly better then the Chinese junk.

My BIL bought a small (mid/) size John Deere (am I allowed to say that here?) back in the late 70s or early 80s the diesel engine (and maybe more) was Yanmar. I believe it served him well but he molly coddled the machine instead of putting it to work so maybe that's why it lasted.

(from online inquiry...)
In 2007 Ingersoll-Rand sold Bobcat, along with its utility equipment and attachments businesses, to Korea's Doosan Infracore and Doosan Engine for almost $5 billion.

Buy a Yanmar or Kubota. I am using a friends John Deere 4500, which is a Yanmar. Built heavy, starts unbelievably well, easy on fuel, pulls like an ox, nice platform, good 3 point, good hydraulics, power steering is the nicest Ive ever used, easy to work on. I have to wear a bag on my head to drive it, but its a really nice tractor. I dont think John Deere would have sourced them if they were poor.
