A few weeks ago there was a discussion about JB Weld. Someone thought that another product like it was as good or better. Dose anyone remember the name of it?

I've used both and have good luck with Belzona as it is easier to machine. They both have a temperature limitation fo bout 500°. There is a JB weld "extreme heat" that is good to upwards of 2000°,,,!!! It must be special order stuff as I've never seen any around here..

Dog gone it, I have never seen anything of these products, except plain old JB Weld. Guess I'll have to ask next time I'm at NAPA.

I have used PC7 it works and comes in 2 parts and you mix them together, it's solider and used it on sand stone monuments so it takes all kinds of weather. When I used JB Weld it wouldn't take the freezing weather

Sorry to hijack but, chaskaduo, where is the Maynard from? I've heard and said that for as long as I can remember but don't know origin. Oh, and I have used Lab Metal from Fastenal as a filler, not an adhesive.

Gonna take a stab in the dark and say it's a reference to Maynard G. Krebs from Dobie Gillis.

I have used Lab Metal, however it must be very clean, they also make a high heat version and I used it to repair an exhaust manifold two years ago and it's still holding

I use the permatex/loctite epoxy mixer cups regularly. They come 10 in a can, and are part number 21425. Once in a while I get an old batch, one part or the other is dried out. I've been using this stuff on Roosa pilot tubes for years. It used to be marketed by Caterpillar as well, which is how I learned of it. Cures much faster than traditional JB Weld, and JB Quik wasn't good enough for pilot tubes.
