.. is there a sight for older Ford tractors as in this one ?
We have a 3400 in the shop that will not raise the 3 point at times.
New pump, reworked top plate, cleaned strainer, changed oil... nothing now.....

.

Watch YouTube videos by Bundy Bears on Ferguson tractors. The Fords are copies of Ferguson 3pt system.

I had the clip that holds the pump control linkage fall off (water in the sump froze).

You may have the draft circuit set wrong or the draft spring/sensor faulty.

Try Facebook. Many old Ford tractor sights there and you get answers from all over the world.
I signed off and quit using Yesterday's Tractor. Too many ignorant grumpy old men there.
God forbid you have a light that is not factory original, or convert to 12 volt or electronic ignition. You will get belittled and flat out told you are an idiot.
So I'll just leave them to live in their miserable little disgruntled lives.

Yes, cover removed and ran with it off to test. We have nothing at 3 point as to trying to lift. It lifted fine after pump replacement. Then quit.

so, is the pump putting out oil, just not going thru the plate/ valve ?

------
Pump is as you say left rear of engine.
Bleed screw is a 3/8" pipe plug - usually socket head - on the side of the pump. Run the engine at low idle and unscrew just enough to make it dribble oil.
When the bubbles are gone and you get a steady flow of oil retighten.
Like them all, but love the "B"s.
