The neighbor brought me his IH 300 to work on. He said he hadn't had it out since last fall, when he started this past week to move it he said he couldn't get it in gear without scraping gears and then the clutch wont stop the tractor after getting going. Well I assume the clutch plate is stuck to the flywheel, the pedal feels ok. It has a side mount sickle mower to boot. Question is will I have to split this thing or can I do somthing through the starter hole or inspection hole? I really don't have time to split this thing. Thanks for the input.

point it toward the driveway, open field etc. start it up in low gear and drive around with the clutch in and apply the brakes once in a while it will break free. hm

Or hook it up to something to work it and take her out for a spin. When I brought my HD3 home, the clutch was stuck as it sat for about 15 years, and I took it out and ran it around for sometime in higher gears and it worked itself free.

I wired the clutch down and drove it around poping the throttle up and down till my hand hurt. I did take the starter off and sprayed a bunch of PB Blaster in there, will see what happens after sitting a couple days. Thanks guys.
