I have 3 IB's. Two are restored one has sickle mower and one in work clothes. I really like the B's and IB's.

I never sure what a good price for any of these old tractors is....however in the case of the IB, the fact that out of 120,000 B's made only 2800 were the IB model should make it a very collectable tractor. And I have seen IB's with the asking price near 6500.00 in just good condition.
I sure would interested in what the more experenced collectors here think as well as to the value. In my case the little IB never going to get away from me again until of course when my kids have that estate sale....

An IB with a total restoration, done to original condition in my opinion is worth between $6000.00 and $8000.00

on the price of a IB, you very rarely see one sell for under $2000. if a beater is for sale for under that price, it is gone in 24 hours. Fixed up and painted they bring $4-5000. I have not seen one that was completely restored and sold in mint condition. Have never heard of one selling for $6000 or more, but could be. Anyone seen that?

I have an IB also I don't remember the serial # I will look tomorrow and post it. My question is if the serial #s started at 1001 and up, why is it concidered that a little over 2800 were made, it would seem to me more like just over 1800 were made. Cal in Ct.

The s/n on my IB is 1349 which I beleive makes it a 1949. Sorry that I don't have a way to post a picture, but there was a nice picture in the archives on the old forum that someone took at the GOTO in Farmington Maine in 07. Cal in Ct.

Brad-MN had a reproduction made for his 1 IB. Maybe he can get the same person to make one or give you the plans to his.

Did I miss out on seeing a reproduction frame? Were the front 90 degree channels fabbed or bent out of 5 inch channel iron?
