Have been thinking about going from three decent size tractors down to one or two now that we are transitioning to more and more no-til.  The 8050 would have been one to go.  Yesterday while trying to get some of our spring work done I blew a rear tire, so I ordered a set of BKT radials for it to be put on Tuesday.  In hindsight how can one part with a mechanically sound, paid for Allis?!?  I use it on the GP no till drill almost always anyhow since it is so heavy.  I think I'll keep her!

selling an 8000series fwd tractor would seem foolish to me.  they don't bring enuff to not have it around in case of an emergency.   also all the depreciation is gone in them.  they will bring the same or more money in 10yrs.

Yes, I would have to agree that keeping it would be a wise move. Darrel
