Hi i an looking for the lift capacity of the old tractor.
What is the lift capacity for D10 D12 D14 D17 ?

There never was (to my knowledge) an official lifting weight rating ever published. I do know a D-17 series 1 will pick up a fully mounted 4 bottom plow and that could be as high as 1400 lbs with the rear bottom a long ways behind the tractor. A series 3 D-17 will lift more than a series 1 because of a larger lift ram. A series 4 will lift even more yet. A D-14 by comparison will lift an 800 lb plow. D-10/12 less than that. Every model, if their hydraulic system is 100% good, can lift enough to raise the front wheels off the ground without any front end weights.

I have 1500 pound on a Plow hitch on the back of my D15 for counterbalance with the front end loader it will pick it up easily.
My D10 series I and the CAs will lift 1000 pound on the Snap-Coupler Carry-All with sufficient front weights added

I had a "17-Series 3" and it would not lift a round bale from a Vermeer 605F baler. At least not to the point where you would feel safe with it. Not much lift capacity at all in my opinion. And this was dry grass hay.

Steve, you bales could be 16-1700 # and the weight is quite a bit back from the hitch ... right ?

And, the 3700 psi hyd pump spec may have only been 2500 psi..........

MY D-14 could lift 3000# on the rear. lift for a front end loader would depend on WHICH loader was installed My loader D-14 would lift an 1800# pumpkin....

For example on the English ED40 , the manual says that the pressure is 2500 PSI, 5 gallons /mn and lift capacity tested at 2300 lbs

they will lift alot more than they are meant to when the 70 year old pumps are freshened up and make more than 1500 psi
