Any real bodyman can pull it out with a dentpuller. Basically he welds a copper plated stud in the dimple, then yanks on it with a slide puller.A good guy can do it in 2-3 studs, a great guy will do it and NOT need more than a skim coat of bondo.
Neighbour did my D-14 air cleaner assembly.Don't ask HOW the dent got there !lol....
Obviously with a gas tank, it's be wise to flush out with soapy water before doing the work....

watching a guy with the paintless dent removal working on a car I wonder if it ca nbe removed from inside the tank with leverage tool to work it out as another option, the stud and slide hammer also seems to work as have seen cycle tanks repaired like that to almost perfect finish.

I've seen it done on motorcycle tanks with air pressure.

Tmiller - The stud welder is the way to go. I had three dents in CA tank. Gave to neighbor, who is body man. He had it repaired in about 1/2 hr. All I had to do was give it a skim coat of bondo and paint.

So................. How "did" the dent get in there?
|
|
Why is there never time to do it right the first time, but always time to go back and fix it?
