how big of a disk can we pull with our allis 8070 two wheel drive with out being bogged down

A pretty darned big one. I pull a 20 footer with my 7060 and am confident I could go to at least 26 foot. My partner has a 30 footer that he pulls with his FWA Versatile.

I know it could handle a 24 ft with ease, it just depends on how fast you want to drive.

We've pulled a 25 foot Krause with my 7050 quite a few times. It is plenty of disc, but it works all right. We have pulled the same disk with 7060s, a 7580, a 9670 Agco Allis, a 9130 Case IH and a 9190 Deutz-Allis. I hope I get the chance to try my Two Twenty on it this spring, but time always seems limited when it comes to experimenting.

Alot depends on soil type and if worked already or not. We have more trouble pulling in sand that has been worked, as tend to sink and spin. We used to pull a 27' field cultivator with an underpowered 8050 2wd. With a good powered 8070, 25-30' would be about right, if you can get traction.

I dont no how deep or what kind of soil you guys farm you must just be tickiling the ground stay with and 18 to 21 foot thats about all you want unless all your using it for is disking stubble then maybe alittle bigger I pull 21 ft 496 Ih disc with 7in spacing with 8070 mfd or 4W220 in 4th on the low side of power director or 3rd on the hi side low range and that is plenty of disk on plowed ground and no my tractors are not wore out!

Much depends on the weight of the disc and the soil type and condition.

Like others have said alot depends on your soil conditions, what type of stubble, are your tires filled with fluid, radials, weights, duals, etc.

25ft would be plenty of disc for most conditions. There would be times you could pull more. But there would be times around here in the mud 21 would be more then enough.

When people ask about how big ??? something will pull you have to remember that these tractors are 30 to 60 years old, for example you can pulla 5bottom plow with a 190xt and that would be great if you are just making a couple of pass at a plow day day but if you are going to do it all day give the tractor a break and only pull 4. I think that is why some of those tractors got a bad wrap for bad transmissions or rearend when they were just overworked to hard and too long.

I have a 7060 and 7080 both running 210hp and I pull a 26ft DA 2500 at about 6mph in a mostly clay type ground with no trouble at all. The 60 has two inner wheel weights on each side and fluid in 18.4s, the 80 has two wheel weights on each side and no fluid on 20.8s.
