We have 18-20". The 7010 does it's best but can't get a foothold. All the gravel is layered in ice and I have no chains. Pickups are almost useless and now the wind is howling something fierce. I think this is the most snow I've seen at one time and with low temps in the forcast I better get used to looking at it. Last year the mud, this year the snow and cold, me thinks the good Lord is telling me something. TobeMo

This is a rough one the wind is screaming out here on the prairie 4 and 5 ft drifts 50 mph wind gusts. I looked out the window and it looks like the truck is burried (one side of it is anyway) power down for a very short time but back on now. Been a while since we've had one like this!

WooHoo!! but the wind is blowing hard and drove in a ground blizzard all the way home, about 23 miles, took over an hour, but didn't push it. it's about 5 degrees here now. corn stove is keeping up in the house so far. it's on the lowest setting!

Seems to be about done here in SW MI.  Maybe 6", but the wind sure made it deep in some spots!  I'll still get to go play on the tractor, so I guess all is good! :)

3 foot drifts outside. The country road I live on is closed 1/4 mile to north and 1 mile to south.called road district and they said maybe late this afternoon "MAYBE".I understand they are overwhelmed ,got over a foot but the wind is the problem.Open fields have very little on them.Low places and woods is where all the snow ended up.Time to dig out the NF D-17 and see what I can do.

Doesn't seem to be as much snow as predicted but it is probably all in the trees and the field with standing stalks. It looks like I could drive to the end of the lane but I know that the roads would be impassible. Called in to work and the operations manager was there, he camped out at the office,  and 2 guys that live within 3 blocks of work walked in. Hopefully the wind will die down and we will be good to go tomorrow.

We are all told to stay at home, not sure how much snow  here in the thumb of Mich. Very cold, very windy, 25 mph and gusts are higher, drifts are deep outside of house, 5 ft. and more. Most fuffy snow we had move around a lot, going to be a problem getting cleaned out on our sideroads.  Snowing more now and suppose to keep snowing here most of the day.  Everthing here is closed, even the court house where my wife works.  May go for a snowmoblie ride later today and check  things out.

Currently 19 degrees and 15mph winds. Also getting some flurries but thats all we suppose to get. We've had 3 or 4 snows this year and the deepest one has been between 2-3 inches. The rest just an inch or two, so we sitting in a hole where the snow has been deeper both North and South of us.

We're supposed to get 12 - 18" in Maine. We had about two feet on the ground to begin with. Then next Sat. we are supposed to get another 4 - 8", then next Tue. another ?. I'm beginning to wonder how I'll get around in the sugarbush to tap trees. That will be about four weeks from now, maybe sooner. Glad I got new bindings for my ash snowshoes.

Was out 2 times so far with 5045 blowing snow helping neighbours get out - can't see what I've done again!

The shifted wind blew the driveway clean. But the glacier in the back yard has peaks at 10 or 12 feet. I don't think I'm going to take a rod out and measure. Road was plowed yesterday, but may not be open.

Just took these pictures around 10:30 this morning.
The plant that I work in, has shut down production, along with other plants in the area including GM truck and bus assembly plant.
I think we only have 8-10 inches here so far, but the wind has been bad with the snow drifts.

Drove down to work this morning, about 20 miles,  I was the only one there, called the boss, told me to go back home.  Wish he would have told me to stay home the first time I called him.  Highways are OK, but a lot of the access roads have cars stuck on them.

Got 20"  in the drive 5040 with loader just sits and spins no chains, finally beat a path through it then push a few inches at a time. Finally got a 8ft. path cut out to the county road, no snow plows out yet, so it just has a few tracks down it. I'm at the Lake of the Ozarks,Mo.

Well, the plows have not been out yet and it's 10:45 am. I can't plow my drive because of the 6'x20'x35' snow drift thats keeping my "CA" hostage in the shed.
Thanks & God Bless

Sun is out and -6 here in Colorado.  Less then 2' of snow on the ground, no wind to speak of.  Glad I'm here rather then the mid west or east!

Well, almost over, except for cold temperatures.  We didn't get the blizzard like the forecast called for, also didn't get the full snow fall, radar showed it dissipating before the system could do it's full damage.  We had officially 17.5 inches, of course that is debatable, but plenty of snow with ample drifting.
I just finished digging out, I got 5 of the 7 doors, including garage doors, driveway and access to the mail box open.
Now I have a fire going, having a cup of coffee and gonna have lunch in a bit.

My lane out to the road looks open. I have 1 drift near the house across the lane but it's only about 18-20 inches deep and a couple feet wide. Looking back toward the wood shed it's a little different. There is a drift that winds around the buildings that is probably 30 feet long, up to 7 feet high in places and 8-10 feet wide. The 45 is in the driveway of the woodshed with no door on the east end. Poor thing has about 6 inches  drifted on top of the hood. I'm staying in for the day unless the wind quits completely. I have wood in the basement and the power has been on through it all.
The SIL went out yesterday afternoon cause his landlord got stuck up the road a ways. Mike got stuck and then another guy stopped to help and got stuck. I guess they finally got a tractor to pull everybody out and by that time Mike ended up parking the Duramx at a neighbors, plugging it in and walking a 1/4 mile home.

Pics of plowing my road.Strange to be the first one before the snowplow shows up.Made it 3/4 mile to the south and 1/4 mile to north.Could not get any father.Drifts just get too high for blade.Anywhere from 8-12 inches.Plowed several drives along the way.People tried to shove money in my pocket. One guy shoved a twenty in the toolbox when I wasn't looking and I found it when I got home.Gas money I guess,Heck I just like to play on the tractor.Several vehicles stuck father up the road about 1/8 mile father than I can get.
I will go back out after warming up and see how far I can get.I will post more pics later.

Ladies and Gentlemen,  Thanks for the informative posts.  Looks like we had a REALLY BIG STORM.  Pat the plumber what type of plow or loader do you have on your D-17?  Looks like you are doing a great job.  Don MI, my favorate looks good in the snow.  Joe MO, Love the table.  Looks like you have some storm. Don MO quite a storm.

We have been lucky here in MD.  Now the sun is out and the tempratures are in the 40's.  Last night we had heavy rain.  I believe the snow just missed us.
Thanks to all for posting.  Hope you are getting out easier than it looks.
Good Luck!
